Stephen Hall is a Writer/ Director based in Ireland, specialising in high concept genre film.  Stephen’s favourite genre to work in is horror, creating heart pounding moments that have you gripping the edge of your seat by truly making his audience invested in his characters.While Stephen’s projects are large in scope, the stories still feel grounded, emphasising the importance of the personalities and storytelling through character driven narratives.
Stephen’s second feature film, ‘The Gates’, a 2 million dollar victorian horror, is due to release in Q1 of 2023 in cinema’s across the UK, Ireland and the US, starring John Rhys-Davies, Richard Brake, Elena Delia, Michael Yare & Peter Coonan. 
 
Stephen has worked on film sets for many years shooting EPK, giving him an exceptional insight and understanding of every part of the film production process, he uses this knowledge to breathe life into his projects and it uniquely gives him the ability to balance the creative storytelling with the technical knowledge to make a project come alive. 
Having established an early career in narrative filmmaking through viral short films, he also worked in the artform of experimental film through music videos and artistic film. Stephen’s feature film directorial debut, ‘Nightshift’, was written & Directed by Stephen and distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2019. His other directorial credits include; Nightflyers: The Mission. A specially produced trailer for the NYCC Comic-con for Netflix's Sci-Fi epic by George R. R. Martin ‘Nightflyers’.

Having worked as a freelancer and having his own company, Hallway Media, Stephen has shot and created 100’s of comercials, corperate videos, music videos and short films. Stephen also shoots high end behind the scenes & EPK for film & TV shows such as Jurassic Park, Nightflyers & Foundation, for networks such as NBC, Netflix, Hallmark, Apple TV and Syfy.
